The fast pace of evolution of renewables and the new challenges confronting the energy sector make it increasingly necessary to engage in dialogue on the global scale.
GSE carries out a dynamic activity of international relations, co-operating with the main entities, institutions and associations of the sector.
GSE has developed a dense network of bilateral and multilateral relations, by actively participating in the working groups and task forces created within the various associations, as well as in the major energy projects funded by the European Commission.
Thanks its high-level and broad-ranging skills, GSE has established preferential relations with EU Member States, taking part in projects of transfer of know-how, even towards countries at the initial stage of development of renewables, and hosting official delegations of EU and non-EU countries at its headquarters.
To optimise its activities and gain an improved understanding also of sector-specific regulations of EU countries, GSE constantly monitors EU legislation on key energy matters (internal energy market, renewables, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency), identifying, interpreting and assessing rules which may have an impact on its core business.
