LEGALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY, TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN

Legality and sustainability, two sides of the same coin, especially when it comes down to giving back to citizens lands that had been transformed into open landfills by the Camorra.

GSE embraced the project with enthusiasm holding lessons on environmental sustainability in the areas of Caserta sequestrated to boss Schiavone.

Here, Ed Agrorinace - a consortium made up of six Municipalities (San Cipriano d’Aversa, Casal di Principe, Casapesenna, S. Marcellino, S. Maria la Fossa and Villa Literno) - started a noteworthy reclamation, recovering and activating a series of projects for these lands aimed at waste recycle, at the production of energy from renewable sources, besides the construction of an Environmental Education and Documentation Centre (Centro di Educazione e Documentazione Ambientale - Ceda) in Santa Maria la Fossa.

Here, over 600 students from primary schools, junior highs and technical high schools in the area participated in a 9-day course held by GSE’s officials on legality and sustainable development. A small seed that will grow strong, to guarantee a future of legality and sustainability to the younger generations in the area of Caserta.
